Committed 16-year-old Scotch Oakburn College student with a strong work ethic and a dedication to studying. I'm eager to use my passion and my teamwork, communication, customer service, and flexibility skills in a job setting. Skilled at balancing extracurricular activities with academic goals, including club and school-level basketball and football activities. A commitment to community service and personal improvement has been demonstrated via involvement in volunteer activities and work experience programmes. I'm prepared to contribute as a productive team member and continue with my professional development.
In my 9th-grade year, I engaged in the Community Service program at Scotch Oakburn. During this week-long initiative, our focus was on giving back to those less fortunate than us, and it was a truly rewarding experience.
During my 10th-grade year, I had the opportunity to participate in the work experience program at Scotch Oakburn College. For my placement, I spent a week in Melbourne, where I worked as a civil engineer on the Melbourne Metro Tunnel Project. This project costs $12.58 billion and consists of two twin 9km tunnels. During my week I participated in numerous site visits underground and surface level including site safety walks. In the office, I partook in meetings discussing various workplace matters and looked at the various apps and technology used in day-to-day work. To prepare for this role, I obtained my white card, allowing me to work on job sites safely. This experience was incredibly enlightening, as it provided me with valuable insights into professional work environments, especially given my prior lack of exposure to this field.
