- Provide technical support to teacher colleagues regarding methods used in experiments or data interpretation.
- Design, modify and pre-test practical lessons for teachers and specific needs of students
- Identify potential problems during testing process correct as necessary.
- Assist with training new lab technicians on proper operation of instruments, safety protocols, and other relevant topics.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning glassware, changing filters.
- Document all experimental procedures and results in an organized manner for future reference and teaching support.
- Support teachers during practicals. My suppport is provided in a number of ways. I assist teaching staff with teaching students at the practical level with industry-based and real-world applications. Alternatively, some classes require an additional presence particularly when a number of students are present with high needs or have been impacted by trauma and personal situations.
- Participated in regular meetings with staff members to discuss satisfaction of mandatory curriculum guidelines and ensure that teaching goals are met.
- Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot pH probes, EC meters, balances, automatic pipettes and diluters.
