I am a highly motivated individual who believes in perseverance and resilience. Tapping into my leadership skills, I have been proven to be organized and resourceful in completing projects.
For the past four years, I’ve been a dedicated tutor specialising in Mathematics and Science for secondary school students. I began with small group lessons but quickly progressed to one-on-one tutoring, which allowed me to adjust my approach to each student's specific learning needs.
Throughout the years, I have assisted six students, five from secondary school and one from primary school, with notable progress in their grades and general comprehension of the content. For instance, two of my Secondary 1 NA students went from receiving Ds in science and maths to receiving A and B grades in just three months, landing an A2 in maths and a B3 in science on their final exams.
My teaching philosophy is based on structured lessons, practical problem-solving, and good time-management abilities. To increase exam performance, I focus on breaking down complex concepts into manageable pieces, aligning past-year exam papers with school courses, and reinforcing organised response approaches, particularly in science. Above all, I want to boost my students' confidence and help them develop the skills and mindset required for long-term educational achievement.
Hospital Supplies Delivery & Retail Operations
As an Operations Intern at Barnes Aerospace, I helped to optimise manufacturing workflows to increase productivity and minimise cycle times. My role included:
1. Production Process Optimisation - Assist in analysing current production schedules and processes to find possible queue and cycle time improvements, hence increasing overall operational efficiency.
2. Factory Layout Design - Created and suggested improved factory and facility layouts to boost productivity inside production cells and ensure the smooth integration of new product lines.
3. Visual Management Implementation - Created clear and effective visual tools to improve production order monitoring and exception management, resulting in better real-time tracking and decision-making.
This experience gave me the opportunity to apply my aerospace engineering knowledge in a real-world situation, improve my analytical and problem-solving skills, and work with cross-functional teams to achieve continuous improvement in aerospace manufacturing processes.
