  • His primary role here was the preparation and review of statutory financial statements for a variety of client funds
  • The process involves manipulating large amounts of raw data to reflect the performance of certain financial instruments and funds.
  • Full controllership of an IFRS 16 conversion project for early adaptor's
  • He built a formula driven workbook to implement the project over all European entities which was subsequently used and rolled out globally.
  • Extensive experience with trade creditors heading up a trade creditors and accounts payable remediation project, which included: review and interrogation of invoice listings, tracing payments to bank, investigating invoices and processing journals where necessary
  • Creation of an accounts payable process document to create a defined process and to eliminate any inefficiencies that existed
  • Gavin also has extensive experience with large bank reconciliation projects.
  • Responsible for the international controllership function and statutory financial statements service delivery for a large multinational taking into account month end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Tasked with remediated the process for preparing balance sheet reconciliation and subsequent upload to Blackline.
  • Worked for a US multinational data analytics company on a transition project, transitioning the accounting from SAP to NetSuite, he has also advised on migration improvements required to make the transition a success.
  • Significant Industry and practice experience having previously worked with large Multinationals across the globe
  • Experience ranges from Month end reporting to year-end audit file preparation.
  • Handled financial statements preparation of aircraft leasing entities under one of the largest aircraft leasing companies in the world in accordance with IFRS.
