  • In this job I ensure the safety and care of patients in the hospital. I lift and slide patients with care and I have knowledge of infection control. I transport patients around the hospital for appointments or discharge via wheelchair, bed or walking support. I deliver blood, specimens, patients notes, oxygen and clinical documents. I clean beds and change linen as needed . As of 2023 I have been taking bodies to the mortuary, preparing bodies for viewings by family, dealing with sensitive cases requiring police supervision, setting up bodies for family identification. I do safety checks on the helipad as well as escort patients down from the helipad when a helicopter arrives. I check the crash cart has all equipment needed and working properly.
