Summary

I am a hardworking and passionate 26 year old indigenous female with strong collaborative and interpersonal skills. I have been employed at Yandi for 6 years now and am currently 8 months into my 12 month Diverse Leadership Program, as a Step-Up Supervisor on Load and Haul. I feel that this position makes good use of my skills and operational experience and would like to further broaden my skillset by applying for the Supervisor position that is currently advertised for my panel. Due to the recent Supervisor departure on B crew, I have taken on Supervisor delegations and will manage those reports for the foreseeable future.

Prior to this I was a Production Technician and operated Trucks, Water-carts, Graders, Wheel Dozers, Loaders and had exposure on the Excavators also.

I am safety driven, lead by example and feel that my current role and previous leadership experience make me a suitable candidate for this position. I take pride in my ability to lead my team and strive to ensure that everyone has the appropriate tools and knowledge to carry out their roles not only to the best of their ability, but also with a positive attitude towards safety, aligning with BHP’s core values.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Kind regards, Gemma.
