I am seeking a role that allows me to combine my skills gained from previous roles and my professional passions. I have 4 years of management experience across various retail spaces and have subsequently learnt how to manage a successful and efficient business. I excel in stock control and understanding business requirements while also adhering to strict budgets and time constraints. I am very passionate about innovation and finding new and efficient ways to improve systems and procedures.
In January 2024 I took over the 99 Bikes Mitchell branch, where I have been managing a staff of nine. I have successfully maintained targets and profit/loss objectives while meeting my personal sales targets. I have been responsible for the end-to-end management of the store's financial, product, and personnel outputs. Whilst managing my staff, I have successfully implemented performance improvement plans, resulting in the individual's improvement and greater outcomes for the business. I have also focussed heavily on training and developing my junior staff. I regularly act in a position of leadership for all of the ACT store locations, delivering monthly outcomes to staff.
Joined in April 2023 as the assistant team leader, where I undertook training designed to allow me to step into a leadership role. Successfully met KPIs (monthly financial targets, management of assigned inventory). In this role I excelled in Sales, frequently exceeding my financial targets. By completion of the training program, I was invited to take over a store in the ACT.
In this role, I transitioned from alcohol sales to bicycle sales, where I gained skills in staff management as well as inventory and product knowledge. In April 2023, Reid Cycles decided to close all Sydney locations to move toward online sales.
In my role as Store Manager, I was responsible for the boutique wine store attached to the renowned Sydney restaurant, Odd Culture. In this role, I utilised my extensive hospitality and wine knowledge to create a unique and rare stock-list. I managed a small but efficient staff while adhering to company policy and expectations. A key part of my role was stock management and profit/loss as well as the creation and management of the online store.
While at Camperdown Cellars, I commenced my role as a Team Leader in the Camperdown location. Based on my performance, I was transitioned to a Store Manager role in the Neutral Bay location. In this role, I was responsible for the inventory and financial management of the store, as well as staffing. I successfully maintained relationships with suppliers and other key stakeholders.
I started working when I was 16 years old and successfully grew my skills in the hospitality industry. This allowed me to transition seamlessly into the Australian workforce when I moved here from England in 2016. I have many years of experience as a Bartender and Sommelier, winning awards for my knowledge and skills.
