As a store manager, I am responsible for the day to day success of the shop whilst keeping clear sight of the bigger picture, business goals and staff morale. I provided shop management support for stores experiencing difficult situations. It was a development focused role, reliant on self-led learning and gaining experience through the job itself. Troubleshooting, personal time management and effective communication skills were key attributes to posses as an Intern; along with a true passion for people management and conflict resolution.
Working in a team is key to being a supervisor, not only do you need to work towards the shop goals, but you also need to the gain trust and respect of your sales assistant team. This role relied on the ability to delegate tasks, give consistent, fair feedback and understand the daily running of a store, all whilst leading by example providing customer service.

A true and natural ability to build rapport with customers is a necessity, as well as being able to read the energy of a customer in order to hold an effective conversation and find the perfect product for ever person.
I am a huge advocate for personal growth and development. I believe that I I am not being challenged, then I am not growing as an individual. I am highly driven by new experiences and a strong moral compass. I have travelled in over 30 countries and volunteered with various environmental and animal rights groups over the past decade. Once I set myself a goal; I will achieve it. Most recently this included becoming a qualified Yoga and Meditation teacher, and moving to Australia alone to live and work.
