At Wellcamp Airport I work for four airlines, Bonza, Qantaslink, Regional Express and Skytrans. I started in May new to aviation but quickly became supervisor in Oct 23

My role as supervisor includes:

  • Organising staff rosters
  • Training new staff, or organising training for them to attend.
  • Following up with customer enquiries- ticketing, missing bags or general enquiries
  • Liase with our general manger pax numbers and handle invoicing
  • Organise team meetings to discuss weekly issues, improvements and procedures
  • Handle correspondence and compliance in our workplace

As a Customer Service Agent my role includes:

  • Checking in, bag acceptance boarding and marshalling passengers
  • Using systems across all airlines such as iPort, Sabre and Amadeus CM
  • Accepting freight and completing all pre-flight checks
  • Assisting passengers with specific requirements and ensuring their needs are met

  • We had a 3 hour briefing the day before the weekend
  • The event had almost 10,000 people every night
  • I worked long hours alone and was quite busy throughout
