Fear of falling:

Being a climber it is inevitable that you fall if you want to progress and the more comfortable with it the more likely you will be able to fall safely. I believe that being brave isn’t having fear but it is being scared and still doing that that scares you. When I think of where I started in my climbing journey and how far I have come I am proud of myself. I am also happy that I can help others work on the fears that are holding them back due to my own experience.
Boxing president:

During my run as president the percentage of women training and competing increased and is still increasing. Many of these women have personally thanked me for my encouragement and support and have given me direct feedback stating that i have been directly responsible for them feeling welcome in a male dominated sport. When I joined the club no females trained for anything other than fitness and the following year after my presidency there were almost as many females competing as males.
I enjoy a number of outdoor sports and martial arts including;
