I believe every child deserves a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where they feel seen, heard, and valued. As an early childhood leader, I am passionate about building strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and educators. I value collaboration, open communication, and continuous growth both personally and within my team. I strive to create a workplace culture that is positive, inclusive, and focused on providing the highest quality care and education.
I stepped up into the Assistant Director position where I gained valuable experience leading centre operations and supporting families and staff. I confidently conducted centre tours, managed fee charging, and assisted families in navigating Centrelink processes. Problem-solving and building strong, trusting relationships with children and families are central to my approach, creating a fun and welcoming environment for everyone. I have developed an understanding that educators learn in different ways and enjoy guiding and mentoring them to continually improve our practices. Additionally, I have experience working with the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), actively seeking input from educators and families to drive meaningful improvements.
I returned to KingKids as a Room Leader and soon stepped into the role of Third in Charge. This opportunity allowed me to grow both professionally and personally, as I continued to learn from those around me while also becoming a trusted role model for my team. I supported the leadership team by stepping up once a month when the directors attended management meetings, taking messages, conducting centre tours, and ensuring the day-to-day operations ran smoothly. I took pride in being someone my team could rely on and always aimed to create a supportive, calm, and collaborative environment.
During my time as a private nanny, I cared for a young child in a home setting, supporting his daily routines and development while also performing light household duties. I took great pride in the beautiful bond we built—being someone he trusted, looked to for comfort, and learned from each day. It was incredibly rewarding to watch him reach his milestones and know I played a meaningful role in his growth, learning, and early experiences.
As a Room Leader for the 0–3 year age group, I led a small team to provide nurturing, high-quality care that supported each child's development and wellbeing. I worked closely with my team to ensure our environment was calm, responsive, and engaging, while maintaining strong communication with families. I took pride in mentoring educators, supporting routines, and planning experiences that reflected each child’s individual needs and interests.
As an early childhood educator, I worked closely with the Room Leader and our team to ensure every child’s individual needs were met in a warm, supportive environment. We collaborated daily to plan and implement meaningful experiences, followed the children’s routines, and maintained a consistent, calm rhythm throughout the day. I was always happy to step in wherever needed and open to trying new ideas to improve our practice and support the team.
