I am an easy-going graduate teacher with a bright and vibrant personality. I am patient, trustworthy, honest and appreciate collaborating and working with others in a professional learning community. I have a natural capability to establish strong, positive relationships with students. I value students feeling supported, encouraged, accepted and catered for within the learning environment. I wish to make learning enjoyable and engaging for all students, allowing them to achieve to their highest capabilities and full potential.
My current role at Alphabet Preschool in Whittington, Geelong, has provided me with a broad range of learning opportunities through diverse educational experiences. As a float educator, i work across all age groups - from 6 weeks to Kindergarten. This has allowed me to build strong, collaborative relationships with my colleagues while gaining a deeper understanding of each developmental stages of a child's life.
I began my journey at Alphabet Preschool, through a student placement, which gave me valuable hands-on experiences and helped me build strong connections with students. Following my placement, i was offered a position as an educator.
I demonstrate leadership by taking on the role of a trainee machine operator while actively collaborating with colleagues, including supervisors, to ensure effective communication and teamwork. I supported my team by stepping in to assist when other machines were not functioning properly, using my initiative to resolve issues and keep operations running smoothly.
Through undertaking my Tennis coaching course with Tennis Australia. I have had the opportunity to be apart of coaching children aged 5-15 years old. I have been a coach at the Cororooke Tennis club for over 4 years and been apart of the community for over 16 years. I have loved being involved within the tennis community and watching my students develop over a period of time.
My time at Millville Early learning centre was followed by a work experience that i conducted in year 10 when i attended schooling at Trinity College Colac. After my work experience at Millville i knew i wanted to take the pathway of teaching as i had a keen interest in education.
I worked at Millville throughout my first year as a university student, this experience helped me understand hands-on practises throughout the duration of my studies.
