  • Working with the Director of Development to meet budgeted income in individual donor and major gift programs, including creation and delivery of The Melbourne Ring Cycle campaign.
  • The key focus areas included: Overseeing the successful management of all Patron relationships, Leading the activities of the Philanthropy team, Capital raising for special projects, in particular the 2013 Melbourne Ring Cycle, Ensuring that all Philanthropy activities were achieved within budget parameters.

  • Commencing as Development Officer in September 2009 and progressing to Relationship Manager in 2010, essential duties and responsibilities were to: Cultivate relationships with individuals gifting $1,000 to $50,000, and to seek and grow further gifts.
  • Identify and secure new individuals to give within the $10,000 to $100,000 range.
  • Research trusts and foundations to identify prospects and prepare and submit compelling tailored funding applications.
  • Compile accurate and timely reports to major donors, trusts and foundations.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed relationship histories on the Garvan database.
  • Manage Garvan’s Workplace Giving program and procurement of new partners.
  • Integrate all gift activity with the operations of the rest of the Foundation team to ensure all relationships with donors are handled seamlessly, efficiently and effectively.
  • In addition to this full time position, I returned part time as a Trusts and Foundations Application Writer, while starting my family, from October 2013 - October 2014

  • Reporting to the Head of Development, the role was responsible for the management of individual giving, including donor and sponsor relationship management, fundraising campaigns, donor and gift acquisition, company management of the STC Foundation Board and fundraising events.
  • Charged with designing and meeting annual targets for all fundraising events, I was responsible for overseeing and managing the increase of event revenue by 150% from 2006 to 2008.
  • Annual fundraising campaigns (Subscription and End of Financial Year mailings) also increased by 26% over a two-year period under my care.
  • Major events within my care included: The Armani Dinner for the STC Foundation; Dinner in honour of Mr. Giorgio Armani’s Sydney arrival and of his partnership with STC (co-managed with Armani head office and Black Communications); Private Dinner with Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness; Private Dinner with (the late) Philip Seymour Hoffman and Hugo Weaving; Private Dinner with Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton; Rifle mind Gala with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Paul Kelly; First Act – STC Annual Auction and Gala Dinner; Tiffany & Co. Keys for a Cause Event (co-managed with Nikki Andrews PR).
