- During this period I was based mostly in Hanoi but spent extensive periods of time in the city of Dong Hoi where I was in charge of the construction of the new airport, including the terminal. Here I was the leader of the technical team that carried out the initial feasibility study, developed the master plan, built the airport and conducted the final audit. I also worked in Vinh where I improved the runway and built a new taxiway system. I did similar work to this in the northern city of Dien Bien Phu.
- At Nobai International Airport in Hanoi I built the new runway 1B, the heavy cargo apron T3, a new apron for terminal T2 and a protective fence wall and public service road for the airport.

After graduating from the University of Transport with a degree in Construction Economics I was employed in the project management department of Nobai International Airport. While working there I continued my studies and became qualified in 2002 as a Civil Engineer.
