Gina Craven

I'm a multi-instrumentalist, music artist and peripatetic instrumental tutor. I make contemporary music under the name "Gina Bella" and I have a strong background in classical, contemporary and jazz music, which I achieved during my time studying. As a working musician and recording artist, I have developed skills in a number of different areas in order to forge a strong career path and have worked hard to become effective in sharing those in my education practice. Some of the skills include:

• Proficiency on guitar, drums, piano and bass
• Proficient use of Logic Pro for recording, producing and engineering
• Strong grounding in music theory/ harmony and songwriting
• Proficiency in aural training and sight reading
• Through necessity, I have also developed skills in basic videography and editing in Final Cut Pro, which have been very useful in producing music videos. I run a YouTube channel called Gina Bella Music, which brings all my video and music skills together.

• Performing both original music and covers at dozens of venues such as Sandalford Winery, The Crown Casino and Ballrooms, Pan Pacific and many more around Perth for events such as weddings, New Year's Eve, dances, Valentine's Day, birthdays and regular weekly gigs.
• Band directing and performing for my own 12 piece jazz combo playing original jazz-influenced music
• Regular singing and guitar playing as part of multiple contemporary outfits.
• Regular multi-instrumentalist and video work in One Woman Band YouTube videos.
• Session work in many different capacities including musicals.
• Performance on live television.
• Wrote, recorded, produced and mixed an original EP.
• Live and studio sound engineering.

• Scoring short films.
• Composition for original ballet performances.
• Songwriting workshops in partnership with Western Australian Music (WAM).
• Sound design - backing track production for public productions.
• Transcription work.
