Geotechnical/Geological-Pit Technician/ Survey Technician, BHP Billiton, Nickel West, Mount Keith, 08/01/11, 12/01/16, MSR300 Reutech, GroundProbe and IDS radar installation- Including mobilising, demobilising, geo referencing, troubleshooting, coordinating Rock Australia and IDS radar technician visits for servicing/calibration, creating databases and radar data interrogation., Installation of Geotechnical Instrumentation and collation of data into reports from: Piezometers, Wireline Convergence and Extensometers., Coordinating Depressurisation campaigns for weepholes with both Rock Australia and Easternwell drilling companies. This also includes collecting water flow data from Horizontal Weepholes., Responsible for the complete operation of the Automated Telemetry System (Prism Monitoring)., Berm Inspections, scanline mapping, and daily pit clearances. Have provided coverage for the Geotechnical Engineer whilst on Annual Leave., Assist Production in highlighting Geotechnical Hazards., Geotechnically trained Spotter for any Production/Drill and Blast activities with all areas of Geotechnical concern., Responsible for post blast ore mark out boundaries., Involvement in all aspects of Grade Control Drilling programs for the Geology Department., Drill hole mark out and daily pit pickups using Trimble Rover GPS., Responsible for all Survey instrumentation servicing/calibration., Creation of Purchase Requisitions, ordering of consumables, Hazard reporting and Work Notifications using 1SAP., Competent in taking and processing Siro vision and Adam Technology 3D Imaging photos., Early developmental stages of using Vulcan and Suprac Programs., Responsible for the on boarding of new contractors including logistics, inductions, and onsite training., Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office including improvement in the areas of Excel and Word., Blast Crew - Have assisted in oversize tie ins., Valuable 4WD experience driving daily in an open pit environment., WA Manual Class Driver’s Licence.
