I owned and ran MNC Civil Pty Ltd from 2016 until 2024.

I ran a crew of 10 personnel and 9 pieces of equipment internally and various contractors as needed.

Within them years I have subcontracted myself, machinery and personnel on various projects, These projects ranged from hourly hire to lump sum contracts to full subdivisions.

I supervised on site overseeing these projects ensuring our machinery and personnel were running at best possible production and safest means to get our projects completed on schedule doing our own QA.

Liaising with clients and shire representatives over various projects and problem solving whilst on site and in office.

Maintaining machinery and most of our own mechanical works from general servicing to replacing parts and full components.

I also operated machinery on site when not required to be overseeing our projects or needing to cover our operators.

These works included

Bulk earthworks, Boxing out roads, Trimming roads on John Deere 770GP with GPS and Total station

Digging stormwater, Sewer lines, Boxing out roads, General bulk earthworks, on Cat 329D with GPS

Truck and dog work carting material from quarries to site and general material carting.

Bulk Earthworks cut and fill on 633 scraper

General Posi track works to boxing out carparks and footpath construction.

5T Excavator works from boxing out works to RL levels, Limestone wall construction, digging small stormwater lines/Sewer works.

Watercart works from Bulk earthworks, General dust suppression to road construction.

Laying Stormwater lines, Sewer lines, Water mains. Setting up general work fronts from pegging centre lines, setting grades, Laying lines and pits to RL and grades.

General surveying works on site with rovers setting out stormwater/Sewer pits, Marking out kerb locations, Pram ramp locations, Heights and batter shoulder/toes.

I started at DTMT as a sub-contractor working for CTK as a Grader operator for the construction of the South Flank (BHP) MSA area, 3 months into the project I was then made site supervisor. These works including

• Setting up burrow pits.
• Running the fill areas, placing lifts and insuring of correct moisture and compaction of areas.
• Liaising with engineers and clients to provide permits.
• Clearing vegetation, stripping and stockpiling topsoil.
• Managing the on-going mixing and material areas of the burrow pits.
• Managing cut and fill areas.
• Organising with engineers and clients for material testing.
• Managing crew rosters.
• Completing daily reports to the office.
• Resolving issues in the field and liaising with the client to find the best outcome for both parties involved.
• Organising machinery movements to and from site.
• Setting up base stations and looking after on site machinery GPS issues.
• Making sure the crew followed company policies and saftey guidelines

Mardie Station gas line works for Monodelphous.

We were contracted to Monodelphous to do the clear and grading of a gas pipeline corridor.

• My works conducted of cut and filling the hill tops of the corridor areas to reduce the steepness of the pipeline. We worked in small crews in very remote areas, My works included
• Maintenance of machinery
• Changing of G.E.T.
• Daily timesheets for all staff to our office
• Liaising with survey for our workfront areas
• Cut and fill works with D10T
• Bulk material cut and fill with Scrapers 633D
• Topsoil stripping with Graders
• Setting out work front areas and holding permits

Tom Price

At AFD I was a Excavator and Grader operator

We started the project to build a large drainage system and a LV road crossing the HV workshop road

My works included

• Digging drainage swales and trenching for culverts
• Lifting in culverts to place
• Mixing stabe onsite and backfilling culverts
• Loading excess material into moxies
• Building up road aliments
• Cutting drains with grader
• Shaping up winrows

Various Pipelines in WA

At KT Pipelines I was a Excavator operator digging the pipeline and bell holes.

My roles consisted of maintaining my excavator from;

• Servicing it, Changing oils and filters
• Daily Greasing
• Re-Fueling
• Changing of G.E.T
• Digging of pipeline
• Mixing of lime with acid based material
• backfilling trench line

Finished School and started my Diesel Mechanic apprenticeship whilst filling in for operators when needed on site. Various locations in NSW

• Assisted senior mechanics with complex repairs, gaining hands-on experience and improving technical skills.
• Observed senior mechanics completing major repairs.
• Utilized diagnostic tools effectively to pinpoint specific issues contributing to vehicle malfunctions or suboptimal performance levels quickly.
• Took advantage of opportunities to learn new systems and repair procedures.
• Cleared work areas of debris and organized supplies to maintain safety and appearance.
• Developed strong problem-solving skills while troubleshooting various mechanical issues under the guidance of experienced mentors.
• Completed TAFE in Kempsey NSW
• Operated Various machinery whilst the company operators took holidays or called in sick such as: Posi tracks, Excavators, Artic trucks, Rollers
