Working as a Support Worker, I truly enjoyed the opportunity to apply my Registered Nurse skills in a hands-on, patient-centered environment. My nursing background enabled me to provide high-quality care, from managing medical tasks to offering emotional and physical support. I found great satisfaction in utilizing my clinical knowledge to assist with complex care needs, ensuring patients felt comfortable and safe while also fostering their independence. This role allowed me to build meaningful relationships with patients and contribute to their overall well-being, further enhancing my passion for compassionate care.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time working as a Registered Nurse on the rehabilitation ward, as it allowed me to be part of patients' transformative journeys toward recovery. Each day presented new challenges and opportunities to apply my clinical skills, from assisting with mobility exercises to providing emotional support. The collaborative environment with a multidisciplinary team was incredibly rewarding, and I took great satisfaction in seeing patients progress and regain independence. The experience deepened my passion for patient-centered care and reinforced the importance of holistic support in the rehabilitation process.

During my graduate nursing year, I completed multiple rotations across the Medical, Surgical, and Rehabilitation wards. This experience allowed me to develop a diverse skill set and acquire comprehensive knowledge in various areas of nursing care.

I worked as a Disability Support Worker for a ventilated quadriplegic, providing care on a 24/7 roster. The participant required complex care, including the management of an SPC catheter, bowel management, and respiratory assessments and management in conjunction with their ventilator. Additionally, I collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the participant’s comprehensive care needs were met.
