Locum employment, rotation in General Medicine Dec 2024 – Jan 2025.

I managed the RaDAR ward - a subacute ward of mainly patients with complex social and discharge planning challenges. My role involved runnning MDTs, collaborating with team members, communicating effectively with patients and families, and coordinating comprehensive and holistic care approaches. I also assisted with medical admissions in the Emergency Department.

I gained experience in working in trauma, tropical, rural and Aboriginal medicine. I undertook a variety of roles including ward work, ward cover, clinic reviews, admissions, assisting in theatre, and presenting at MDTs including the combined orthopaedic and infectious disease MDTs. I also worked in ED assessing and managing both paediatric and adult patients.

I undertook a variety of roles including managing medical ward and ICU patients, ward cover, clinic reviews, medical admissions and consults, presenting at MDTs, running MET calls, and reviewing unwell patients in dialysis and oncology.
