Throughout my career, I have managed all aspects of hotel operations, including food and beverage, gaming, tab, functions and accommodation. I have also led major venue refurbishments, working alongside architects on customer flow, bar layouts and kitchen design to ensure each venue operates efficiently and delivers the best possible guest experience.

Work History
General Manager- Flinders Steet Wharves
3 Years- Worked collaboratively with the architect and ownership group to design the operational layout of the hotels redevelopment, ensuring customer flow, service efficiency and revenue generation.
- Influenced the design positioning of bars, commercial kitchens, service areas and customer spaces to maximise guest experience.
- Played the key role throughout the redevelopment, providing operational expertise to ensure the venue met both commercial and hospitality objectives.
- Successfully reopened the venue following the major refurbishment, implementing operational procedures, recruiting and training staff and building a high performing team.
- Maintained full responsibility for financial performance, compliance, team operations of one of Townsville premier hospitality venues.
- Flinders Street Wharves opened in December 2025 comprising of 5 bars, 2 kitchens, kiosk, floating pontoon and patron capacity of 850.
General Manager- Royal Hotel
1 Year 11 Months- Managed day-to-day operations of all departments comprising of 40 machine gaming room, bars, tab, keno, accommodation and retail.
- Improved profitability through labour management, cost control, gaming loyalty, promotions, entertainment and reopening the onsite drive thru bottleshop.
- Implemented service standards and operational efficiencies.
- Built community awareness through sporting sponsorships and customer satisfaction to drive repeat business.
General Manager – Boundary Hotel
4 Years 1 Month- Successfully managed one of Brisbane's best know hospitality venues during and after the redevelopment from 2018 which comprised of function rooms, detached bottleshop, 5 bars, bistro & pizzeria, gaming & tab.
- Repositioned the hotel following the redevelopment, increasing patronage and strengthening its market presence.
- Delivered strong financial results through strong budgeting, forecasting and commercial decision making.
- Navigate throughout daily COVID mandates, staffing, patrons numbers, stock control, and the challenges of reopening at full capacity.
- Venue's lease was sold in 2022
General Manager – Shafton Hotel
4 Years 7 Months- Increased gaming turnover from $17m to $44m in 4 years with 34 machines
- Managing multiple of Oz Pub hotels and receivership contracts from 2013-2016 including the Seaview Hotel, Townsville- The Boathouse Tavern, Coomera & Mackay Grand Suits.
- Successfully rebuilding and repositioning the hotel within the community and trust with local patrons in a very competitive market.
- Activated carpark events on ANZAC Day, Bites & Brews Craft Beer Festival and major UFC fights.
