- I obtained valuable experience working in the mining and energy industry, specifically in the lithium industry and the aged care industry in Western Australia.
- My main client was Tianqi Lithium Energy Australia, a Chinese/Australian joint venture that constructed Australia's first fully automated battery-grade lithium hydroxide facility. Another key client was Juniper, a leading provider of residential aged care in Western Australia.
- I performed the role of in-charge for these audits, which involved a number of responsibilities, alongside being the main point of contact for the client. This included delegating work to staff, setting priorities, and providing guidance and support to junior staff members on daily tasks, projects, and objectives to ensure deadlines were met, as well as updating and managing expectations with my seniors and partners. Directly involved in engaging and liaising with tax and valuation specialists within the firm on complex accounting issues, as well as component auditors from other KPMG and non-KPMG firms.
- I was able to gain key insights into the lithium and aged care industries, becoming knowledgeable about the business and wider economic issues facing them, while becoming technically proficient in the accounting standards and government legislation impacting them. I became experienced in performing detailed impairment testing and going-concern evaluations, given the financial struggles of companies in the Lithium Industry at present.

- I joined the audit graduate programme at KPMG London in 2017 where I qualified as a ICAEW Chartered Accountant in 2020.
- I obtained three years of post-qualification experience at KPMG London before undertaking a two-year secondment to KPMG Perth.
