Communication Skills

I have experience in the role of training staff being an Education Officer with the NSW Police Force and also hold the training and assessment TEA10 qualification with the Australian Army. I have personally been tasked to drive the State Governor of NSW and Prime Minister and been required to communicate with these Dignatories. In Local Government I have had to communicate with members of Parliament and convene meetings.

Leadership Experience

I have been a member of the Cobar Shire Council for the past 16 years as a Local Government Councillor and held the position as Deputy Mayor and relieved as the Mayor for a 3 month period. As a Police Officer with 34.5 years of service I have been a leader in various fields regarding emergency situations, Dignatory Protection, training Police in high risk incidents, emergency management, relieved as a Duty Officer Inspector. I have been on various community charity groups holding position as President of the Bourke Police and Community Outback Trek raising funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Cobar Mens shed, Cobar Junior Swimming Club. I have been a volunteer in a number of Volunteer Rescue Organisations.
