I am an experienced and well-rounded individual, having worked in Services Australia for nearly five years in a multitude of roles including developer, system analyst and scrum master. I have a Bachelor of Information Technology, Diploma of Information Technology and have a depth and breadth of diverse experience, skills and knowledge across IT services. I have hands-on exposure to the majority of areas within the IT workforce, in addition to having worked closely and been involved with numerous roles within business. This has positioned me to excel in many roles. My role involves running a development/ agile team to lead daily stand-ups and scrum ceremonies for scrum teams. Work with product owners to refine the backlog and plan sprints for BAU and Projects. Track, escalate, and remove impediments. Track burn down, issues, and progress in Version 1. Work with Department of Veterans Affairs DVA stakeholders to resolve issues. I have improved team velocity by following these agile practices by incorporating capacity planning into sprint planning sessions. Implemented Issues Tracking in Version 1 to effectively track impediments against user stories. Through providing this opportunity, my management team has shown their trust in my technical and leadership skills and I am excited to meet this new challenge. In addition to this, I am also doing a JAVA Developer role in the Rehab & Compensation team. In this role, I am responsible for developing applications using Java language. I collaborate with web developers to integrate Java into business applications requirements, which is given by projects. I am able to provide solutions for Project work by applying the skills of implementing coding knowledge, Structure Query Language - SQL, JAVA, and Automation. For instance, I provided a Web interface with coding implementation with the use of wireframes to build prototypes from a recent project and delivered before the release date. I am always looking for ways to learn new skills and improve my capabilities. I have undertaken several training courses to enhance my IT and Management & Leadership skills in the past year. I passed the Certificate SAFE 5 Scrum Master and SAFE 4 Practitioner Certification exams. I decided to pursue these certifications after leading several Scrum/Agile team Projects from the Department of Veterans Affairs DVA. I am now expanding my Managing & Leadership Knowledge by enrolling in the Diploma of Project Management. In addition to this, I attended an Oracle Database SQL Fundamentals course and gained the Certification. I believe I have demonstrated the ability to work beyond my current job duties. This is most evident during the Australian Defence Firefighter Project of ISHRC in Services Australia. This was a cross-agency legislative project with the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA). The project was run by a multidisciplinary team using agile methodology. I was responsible for cross-skilling between different roles and teams. I was able to lead the project team as a Scrum Master by facilitating the sprint ceremonies and filling in the agile knowledge gaps, resulting in an overall improvement in project delivery.
