- Coordinate and supervise all steel-fixing operations, ensuring reinforcement works are delivered accurately to structural drawings, specifications, and construction schedules.
- Conduct daily QA checks on footing, slab, column, core, and wall reinforcement, ensuring bar sizes, spacing, laps, and starter bars comply with ITPs and engineer requirements.
- Liaise with site managers, engineers, formwork and concrete teams to resolve design conflicts, sequencing issues, and ensure smooth workflow across all trades.
- Manage steel-fixing crews by allocating labour, monitoring productivity, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring all works are documented and signed off before pour.
- Prepare and maintain project records including daily reports, progress tracking, variations, NCRs, delivery dockets, and QA documentation for compliance and client handover.
- Assist in coordinating all site works including preliminaries, site set-up, excavation, concrete, finishes, services, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain and promote WHS standards on site, ensuring inspections, documentation, and safety practices are consistently followed.
- Support labour management by coordinating labourers and traffic controllers, monitoring workflow efficiency, and ensuring quality systems are implemented.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, PCA, council, utilities, contractors, and site management to facilitate smooth project delivery and resolve day-to-day issues.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to carry out quality control tasks, manage site documentation (RFIs, ITPs, Procore/ACC/Plexa), and assist in achieving project objectives
- Perform water, fire, mould, and storm-damage restoration using industry-approved methods, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Conduct on-site assessments, moisture readings, and documentation to determine the scope of work and required remediation steps.
- Operate drying systems, dehumidifiers, air movers, extraction tools, and cleaning chemicals to restore properties to pre-loss condition.
- Communicate clearly with clients, insurance assessors, and team leaders to provide updates, explain processes, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Complete job reports, before/after photos, inventory logs, and maintain all equipment in clean, working condition.
