• Following a variety of doctors pathways post cardiac surgery including day surgeries and inpatient open heart surgeries

Consisted of six months experience in a Cardiovascular ward and six months of experience in a general medical ward utilising the following skills:

• Understanding priority levels based on patient acuity levels
• Working alongside a wide range of health professionals
• Preparing patient's pre-operation and recovering patients post-operation
• Conducting patient assessments to identify any changes in condition and initiating interventions if necessary
• Administering a large variety of medications using safe practice guidelines through various routes
• Attending multiple courses, including rhythm strip reading, 12 lead ECG interpretation and CVAD management

• Perform personal cares for each resident while maintaining dignity and respect
• Use a variety of manual handling machines
• Follow care plans for each resident including mobility, diet, and resident preferences
• Communicate with residents and their families
• Handover to other Personal Care Assistants, Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses
• Work as part of a team or independently to complete daily tasks

• Provide customized care according to individual health plan
• Restock medication rooms
• Escort patients to appointments within Caboolture Hospital
• Work as a team alongside Enrolled and Registered Nurses
• Assist patients with personal cares
• Attend to patients who require feeding assistance at mealtimes
