  • Support a holistic approach to Council’s planning, policy and community development by developing and conveying knowledge and understanding of social trends, social infrastructure needs, programs and policies
  • Undertake high level social research and analysis and identify social trends and community needs that impact upon Campbelltown’s residents, workers, visitors and students
  • Formulate and monitor key strategies and plans for the LGA, with a particular focus on social, cultural, community and urban planning for the city
  • Provide expert social planning advice and recommendations to support the planning and development of the city, including advice on development assessment processes, planning proposals, social impact assessment, open space planning, asset management planning, facilities planning, procurement and governance
  • Identify key infrastructure requirements in both established and Greenfield environments
  • Undertake research and analysis to identify and report on current emerging social, political, economic and environmental issues relevant to social planning and community development
  • Coordinate and manage externally engaged consultants
