• The primary objective of this role is to ensure best practice in food safety, compliance, quality, systems and procedures in delivering product sourced by FMG to its customers
• In doing so, I support FMG Beef raw material packers in Australia & New Zealand to assure that McDonald’s and the importing country’s specifications, standards and quality requirements are met
• Key to achieving the above is the ongoing development, implementation, and management of quality systems and processes that drive continuous improvement in product quality management within the FMG business, whilst aligning the needs of the entire supply chain
• Equally key to achieving this objective is effective relationship management with all stakeholders – FMG staff, McDonald’s personnel, shareholder personnel at all levels, non-shareholder end users, suppliers, vendors, industry bodies and other associated parties.

• Digitalization of Quality Performance Data dashboards: including Packer Metrics, Packer Scorecards

• Contribute to, review, action and meet the Category Plan relating to Supply
• Develop, review and update growing projections/ volume forecasts to meet customer current and future requirements
• Regularly evaluate and measure the supply performance to sales requirements of the category and adjust as necessary
• Develop, manage and execute medium to long term supply plans in line with the Sales and Operations Planning requirements
• Manage seed/breeding companies and nurseries
• Provide technical support to selected growers and approved nurseries
• Continually improve quality on farm and GIFOTQ (Grown in Full on Time with Quality)
• Adhere to Grower Management principles, protocol and processes
• Actively manage and improve product grower relationships and grower performance
• Growers achieve and maintain Approved Supplier status
• Conduct grower reviews at least annually or as applicable to growing seasons.

• Implementing the existing quality system (policies and procedures) for the VAD’s and market sites
• Scheduling and resourcing both internal and external audits
• Principle person responsible for SQF system
• Provides advice and direction to company managers, QA Representatives and any other staff within the Perfection Group of companies
• Actively participating in developing and driving the HACCP Team initiatives and actions
• Upgrading all procedures and processes to align with new regulatory requirements
• Ensuring completion of the QA checklist of actions for all new products launched
• Ensure the internal audits are completed to schedule
• Developing and presenting internal training materials
• Coordinating, implementing and evaluating training programs on GMP, HACCP, QA
• Ensure QA representatives at each of the sites are fulfilling the needs of their roles.

• Develop and supply technical and quality manuals for all existing proprietary growers
• Developing and improving the quality systems (policies and procedures) for farms and suppliers
• Communicating Specifications
• Communicating plans to the team and key stakeholders and keeping information flowing in relation to changes and initiatives
• Keeping abreast of all regulatory and customer changes impacting the business
• Developing relationships with key stakeholders
• Understanding current QA/ regulatory, customer requirements
• Ensuring all internal documents reflect customer requirements
• Developing and drive a farm audit program
• Ensuring audit preparedness during internal checks and reviews of system
• Be actively involved with third party audits
• Carry out and / or ensure all internal audits are carried to schedule, to comply with customer and regulatory requirements
• Customer complaint and corrective action investigation and response
• Ensuring suppliers are audited yielding a satisfactory level, where risk of product supplied deems this necessary
• Manage the business Approved Supplier Program
• Focused on overall quality of accepted product, dissemination of information about Produce quality to the Buying team as well as with other team members
• Managing interstate movement protocols
• Investigating issues and resolving by implementing corrective actions
• Developing and implementing a raw material inspection process
• Reviewing grower/supplier base with SCM Team, based on QA regulations.

• To work collaboratively with the National Account Managers for the respective customer accounts, ensuring at all times that customer expectations are met and that a professional service is maintained
• To champion customer standards internally, and support the wider business in delivering these through whatever channels are appropriate
• To ensure, through collaboration with the relevant teams, that non-conformances which affect the business customer performance or perception, are thoroughly investigated and root-causes addressed
• To manage appropriate systems for customer specification and artwork generation and approval
• To manage an appropriate system of positive release to minimise the risk of non-conforming product being despatched to the customer
• Manage projects & trials aimed at improving process efficiency or product quality as directed
• To manage QA Team.
