  • The position reports to the team leader and collaborates with other Local Area Coordinators (LAC). Senior LACs take on all leadership tasks and roles in the absence of team leaders and provide feedback and handover to team leader to ensure consistent support and leadership of team.
  • Arrange and coordinate initial and reassessment plan meetings for four new NDIS recipients each week; Including internal reviews (S100), change of situation (S47,S48) and complaints processes
  • Interact with participants and stakeholders, explain NDIS funding compliance requirements, and manage expectations with the aim of building trust and strong relationships
  • Adjust communication style dependent on the situation, often dealing with cultural sensitivity, confidential and emotional scenarios
  • Collate information and develop NDIS plan in adherence to regulatory requirements of Section 34 of the NDIS Act and submit all relevant evidence for consideration to NDIS.
  • Coach and mentor new team members to ensure they are confident to communicate with participants and stakeholders, resolve points of conflict and present regulatory information with a person centred approach.
  • Manage workload by coordinating changing priorities, scheduling regular tasks and consistently meet all fortnightly KPIs and deadlines
