Team Support Administrator

At Starship Children's Hospital I was the Team Support Administrator for the Children's Emergency Department, being in such a large and diverse team taught me how to work in this highly stressful and demanding environment. In my role I oversaw and managed ordering clinical supplies and equipment, medical rosters for junior doctors and clerks, general maintenance and upgrades of the department. I also worked along side senior leadership team on large projects and management of capital purchases. Outside of my admin role I was apart of the wellbeing group which is a large passion of mine, part of this included organising staff events across our department. Overall I highly supported our senior clinical team including clinical charge nurses, nurse educators and senior medical officers.

  • In June 2021 I was promoted to the role of Office Manager, as part of this new role I oversaw daily office operations, ensuring efficient workflow and processes. I learnt new skills that allowed me to gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of the business. In this role I ensured all office supplies were well stocked and that the office was well maintained, I built relationships with outside suppliers such as our IT company, postage and cleaners and also organised all office events. In this role I processed the reinsurance data monthly which allowed my excel skills to broaden. I was the designated health and safety adviser for our company, as part of this responsibility I was in charge of ensuring staff were well educated on safety processes and policy, keeping track of the budget and ensuring we met our target of minutes per person.

  • In my office administrator role at Pinnacle Life I had a wide range of tasks that I did, some of these included; updating the database system, customer service communication, processing payments and basic accounting duties. Being in this role taught me a range of day to day office skills inclusive of Microsoft excel, customer service, and basic accounting tasks that can all be easily be applied and transferred into other environments and workplaces
