Leadership Experience

I believe in setting a positive example when overseeing prisoners, fostering a strong rapport between myself as an officer and the inmates. This approach not only builds trust and loyalty within the team but also contributes to increased productivity. My dedication to the security field and diligent pursuit of martial arts ensures that integrity and leadership permeate every facet of my daily life. Throughout my experiences, I have consistently guided others in the right direction, whether it involves completing work tasks, handling life challenges, or mastering martial art techniques.

Communication Skills

In my present role, I engage in constant communication with various essential stakeholders, including medical staff, education staff, reintegration staff supervisors, prisoners, and fellow prison officers. Through this experience, I have acquired extensive knowledge of dynamic security and recognized the significance of maintaining a visible presence in the office to manage prisoners effectively and diffuse potentially hostile situations before they escalate. Moreover, my involvement in teaching martial arts has further honed my communication skills. Instructing martial arts demands clear and precise communication to ensure that instructions are executed safely and accurately. Teaching self-defense to children, in particular, has underscored the importance of simple and effective communication in establishing understanding. I firmly believe that being an effective team player requires listening and learning twice as much as speaking. This principle applies equally to my experiences in a prison setting, daily life, and my involvement in martial arts.
