Assistant Department Manager Role:

• A driven Assistant Department Manager, working alongside the department manager to ensure smooth day to day runnings of both the fresh service and fresh convenience departments, which contributed upwards of $150,000 in weekly overall store sales.
• Managing a team of ~15 team members.
• Ensuring the department is fully stocked and meets the Woolworths Customer First Availability (C1A) standards.
• Managed and motivated employees to be productive and engaged in work.
• Collaborating with team on new or improved methods to upsell and merchandise fresh stock to assist in boosting weekly department sales and to reduce stock loss.
• Rostering the department to meet both department and store sales forecasting and the RT3 metrics via Kronos.
• Ensuring the department meets allocated in-store dump/markdown/stock adjustment budgets and metrics.
• Ensuring the department conforms to a 100% fresh food guaranteed standard at all times and conforms to all health and safety regulations.
• Investigating stock loss within the department and managing stocktake for the department on a regular basis.

Safety Lead Role:

• Working collaboratively with the store the Store Safety Co-Lead to ensure store safety measures are implemented and followed.
• Utilizing pulse to report incidents.
• Facilitated monthly safety talks focused on relevant safety topics, fostering open communication among team members regarding potential hazards or concerns. (Entire Store)
• Led safety committee meetings to address concerns and develop action plans for improvement. (Safety Team)
• Maintained detailed records of safety-related activities, facilitating accurate reporting and analysis.
• Coordinated with external vendors to ensure proper maintenance of safety equipment according to industry standards.
• Promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.
