As a Civil Designer, I have gained extensive experience in the following areas:

Designing earthworks models for both single dwellings and multi-unit apartment developments.

Designing and planning water mains, sewer systems, and stormwater drainage networks.

• Developing driveway layouts and design solutions

• Preparing erosion and sediment control plans to meet regulatory requirements

• Collaborating with clients to ensure project objectives are met and provide technical guidance

I was fortunate enough to work for LineSmarts during my school holidays. Many

electrical distributors have funded me and two other students to research and collect data on power

pole stability on behalf of LineSmarts. Our research involves laboratory experiments using a scaled-

down power pole and a variety of soils. By systematically winching the pole and measuring the resulting

force and lean, we can determine when soil failure occurs and analyze the individual strengths of the

soil under various conditions such as pole depth, slope, compaction, and heel/breast blocks. The

ultimate goal of our work is to provide the companies with comprehensive findings and potentially

develop a mathematical model for these situations. The outcomes of this research have the potential to

greatly benefit New Zealand by saving substantial costs and preventing accidents in the power

distribution network.

As a Civil Engineer Apprentice and have experience in:

• Concrete and asphalt preparation, job pricing and contract work

• Estimating quantities and material costs during project planning to support budgeting and

costings.

• Installing and maintaining the 3-waters scheme

• Supervising a crew for the installation of water tobys and new progress on-site, addressing any
