With experience over the last ten years in a number of different areas including; hospitality and tourism; animal care; advertising; administration and reception roles, I have a clear understanding of where my strengths lie. I am passionate about customer-focused work and enjoy engaging with people. I find fulfilment in more active work environments. Welcome and Service Assistant

National Trust

As first point of contact for all guests, staff members, volunteers and courier services at the historic Sutton Hoo National Trust site in Suffolk, this role allowed me to combine my love of the outdoors with a customer-focused role that provided constant engagement and a rewarding work life.

  • Reception duties requiring a positive, friendly attitude and the ability to provide helpful, tailored advice and assistance; greeting and directing visitors, scanning memberships, taking payments via POS system and reconciling tills.
  • Advising on the benefits of membership to the Trust and upselling to customers.
  • Assisting guests with mobility issues and additional needs.
  • Setting up family friendly activities across the 250 acre site.

Animal Attendant

A varied, enjoyable role providing walking, pet sitting and house sitting duties, where I was able to utilise my love for animals and the outdoors in a positive way and offer care and affection whilst providing a necessary service.

  • Collecting dogs from customers homes and taking to local open spaces for playtime, enrichment and exercise.
  • Pet check ins - visits with dogs, cats or other animals multiple times a day to refresh food and water and provide affection and engagement.
  • Ensuring spaces were left clean, hygienic and safe; clearing up where necessary.
  • Liaising regularly with management and notifying them to any issues or concerns with the health and welfare of the animals.

Hospitality Assistant

Whilst at Delatite, I was working in a variety of roles Front of House, Back of House and elsewhere within the winery, depending on the needs of the business.

  • Waiting tables, providing wine tastings in the Cellar Door, assisting as Kitchen Hand and with the vineyard team.
  • Providing guests with a history of the winery and the processes involved in the production of the wines on offer.
  • Point of contact between the front of house and kitchen teams, to relay updates regarding menu changes, stock issues or to generally manage the pace of service.

Senior Advertising Advisor

Over four years at Suffolk County Council I worked in the Suffolk Advertising team firstly as an Advertising Advisor and then as the Senior Advertising Advisor in 2019. From January - May 2020 I was appointed to act up as Advertising Manager.

  • Coordinating and supervising advertising campaigns across all SCC departments, including Public Health, Fire, HR and Recruitment.
  • Team leader role, ensuring work was completed to a high standard and requests were delegated fairly and team members were content and able to raise any concerns.
  • Integral role assisting the Advertising Manager during the implementation of a new council-wide ATS/CRM system. Ensuring
    all the Advertising team needs were met from both a user and client perspective.
  • Arranging and delivering a change in business function and processes alongside the adjustment to working from home during the start of the pandemic.
  • Managing a high volume of requests across 6
    inboxes, including recruitment and public notice advertising, supplier maintenance and finance.
  • Assisting the Finance Officer on all procedures including processing invoices for accounts payable and receivable,
    responding to queries from suppliers, clients and SCC's main finance team, as well as maintaining the information held within
    the finance system. I was also solely responsible for covering these tasks during a 6 month period.
  • Attending wider SCC department meetings as the representative for the Advertising team.

Business Support, Careers Directorate

Based in Wellington, NZ the TEC is a crown agency responsible for leading the government's relationship with the tertiary sector and providing careers services from education to employment.

  • I was responsible for providing general administrative assistance and reception duties to the Careers Directorate. I was also called upon to assist the team responsible for an ongoing system upgrade, as Project Admin.
  • Minute taking and meeting coordination between staff and external clients; calendar and diary management.
  • Supporting with accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices.
  • Sending out Careers resources to schools and colleges throughout New Zealand, and dealing with any queries related to this.
  • Assisting various departments including: HR, Marketing and Professional Development Services with ad-hoc administrative
    tasks.

Central Database Administrator

Greene King Brewery

Central point of contact for many departments including finance, IT, sales, supply and export; this allowed for a heavy involvement in the key functions of the company and played a key role in the integration of Spirit Pub Company, the merger which introduced Greene King as the leading and largest pub company in Britain.

  • Responding to a large volume of email requests and phone queries, maintaining a 2 day service level agreement.
  • Maintenance of three main database systems and fielding queries related to them.
  • Setting up new products within the Liquor Product Workflow system, manually monitoring pricing to ensure accuracy for customers and suppliers.
  • Liaising with a large sales team across the UK, setting up their accounts within a tight
    deadline and managing these efficiently.
