- Due to some unfortunate circumstances of having to many eggs in one basket, and the main company I was working with going under leaving me in the position of seeking new employment.

- I have some experience with quoting of jobs and dealing with customers, as this was an important part of being self employed and maintaining a steady work flow.

- Company Overview: DWW Engineering specialized in making a lot of structural steel for power stations and marine work.
- Whilst at DWW Engineering i was studying to become a boilermaker.
- This has given me a good understanding of engineered drawings and how to read them.
- I was involved in the making of the new ferry cat terminals on the Brisbane river.
- Being a boilermaker means a lot of attention to detail as the smallest of mistakes can mean an entire job being delayed or not working properly on installation.
- During my apprenticeship i was injured in a work place accident injuring my left knee and left ring finger.
- This accident meant quite a while off the tools which meant I gained experience in an admin role for a while answering phones and taking care of the goods receiving and transport of goods outwards.
- Once my healing progressed i changed into the store person role and helped the current store person with their work.
- This meant Taking care of all material deliveries and filing of delivery dockets and dealing with suppliers if orders were incomplete.
- Ordering in all of the supplies and consumables for the manufacturing company to function, was a large part of my role in this time.
- After 8 months i went back on the workshop floor, then the current store person had to resign.
- So i was given the responsibility of store person and working on the floor.
- This meant time management was key as i had jobs on the workshop floor to complete and had to make sure there was always enough supplies available so we did not run out.
- DWW Engineering specialized in making a lot of structural steel for power stations and marine work.

- I began this job whilst in school to earn some extra pocket money.
- It soon became a passion of mine but due to some slow times with the business i had to move on to my boiler making apprenticeship.
