Work History

Volunteer

House Captain

In October 2022, I was elected as a House Captain at William Clarke College. Within this role, I have lead House Meetings, presented to students on upcoming events and run games with younger students. In addition, the role involves me assisting in the running of various sporting carnivals across both the Primary and Secondary school, as well as weekly house sporting competitions. This has involved setting up and packing up equipment, assisting staff with running different events, coaching teams and managing reserves, and encouraging the participation of students in my house.

03.2020 - 07.2023

In addition to playing baseball, I have also volunteered as a coach for a Baseball Development Program for players aged 8-11 years with my local club. At these sessions, I have led warm up drills and ran fielding and hitting stations. The program aims to help players develop their skills for the upcoming season.

Volunteer

Thread Together

In December 2023 my New South Wales baseball team volunteered at the the Thread Together charity. Thread Together is a charity that takes unsold clothing from corporations and gives these clothes to the less fortunate. My team spent a day organising the clothes that had be donated into different categories of clothing so it could be properly distributed to the less fortunate.

Umpire

09.2020 - 03.2021

I umpired 2 games of baseball/teeball/modball per week for children aged 6-13. This role required me to not only understand the rules of baseball, but have the confidence to manage up to 24 players across 2 teams, 2 coaches per team, 2 scorers and all the spectators. I was required to behave in a professional and calm manner at all times, even when the spectators were critical of my decisions.

Hobbies

Baseball

I have played baseball since I was 5 years old. Throughout my career I have played in national tournaments representing my state.  In early 2023, I represented the U18 New South Wales baseball team at the Australian Youth Championships.  I was then selected in the U18 Australian baseball squad which has involved training in a high-performance squad three times per week . I have enjoyed playing a team sports as it involves communication and strategy, these aspects of baseball have allowed me to build friendships. Furthermore, playing baseball has helped to instill determination and a good work ethic that has helped me in other aspects of life.

Gym

Playing baseball at a high level required me to go to the gym to get stronger and faster. I have enjoyed seeing the progress and improvements I have made in the gym and have enjoyed learning new physical movements. I am motivated to become better at the gym as I can see correlations between my strength and my baseball performance.
