Since late February 2025 I made the move to central Victoria and have been lucky enough to now be employed at Goulburn Valley Health, Shepparton in their emergency department. I have spent the last 3-4 months getting familiar in the cubicle spaces and around the department where i have learnt new skills such as caring for patients with NOF fractures which we did not do at Casey. I am now at a point in my career where i would like to further my knowledge and studies to make me a larger asset to the team in emergency and eventually look at potentially working in a leadership role

• While placed at SW4 for my first rotation I was able to solidify skills that I had learnt during my undergraduate degree such as quality patient care, time management, being able to work both in and team and individually and being able to advocate for my patient to help optimise their health and stay at the hospital. While at my second and current rotation of Casey Emergency I was able to learn how to complete a proper head to toe assessment, primary and secondary assessment of patients raging in all ages from paediatric to adults. I have learnt how to communicate with the many different multidisciplinary teams in the emergency department, escalate my concerns for a deteriorating patient early and have gained confidence in communicating with senior staff.
• While at Monash Health Casey I was able to complete my Transition to Speciality Practice (TSP) within Monash health and was working as a R2 in the resus space from January 2024- February 2025 when I left Monash Health. during this time I gained many skills and further developed how to prioritise patients care based on most critical tasks

• During this time while studying my Bachelor of Nursing I worked as a disability support worker where I cared for people with many different abilities and tried my best to help them achieve their goals and have as much independence as possible.

• During my younger years I proved myself to be a loyal and valued team member to Beechworth bakery where I helped train employees and help with front of house.
