Summary

Driven registered nurse with 7 years post graduation experience in a variety of areas which has attributed to my confidence, nursing and communication skills. I have the ability to work within a fast pace, emotional, demanding and target driven environments. I have always had an understanding of the establishments goals whilst also maintaining a high quality of nursing care, remaining compassionate and dedicated to giving my patients/ client users/ residents the most professional standard of care possible. From working in these different types of environments that I have worked in I am able to work independently, for example within the nursing home I decide when to escalate care, within my first role being in charge of a ward, in emergency nursing triaging patients and working as a lone worker as a disability assessor from home. This range of experience has exposed me to many physical, learning disability and mental health conditions and gave me the opportunity to work alongside these patients whilst gaining knowledge into how best to provide care and also the services available. It has also ensured and helped me expand on my communication skills whether that be with other health professionals, next of kin, family and patients also. At present I work as an emergency registered nurse for Health Care Australia. I work within metro emergency departments and of recent have been completing rural contracts which I thoroughly enjoyed.
