Summary

As a experienced support worker with experience creating programs in a disability day service setting, as well as proving education, support and guidance to volunteers and placement students, i believe that these transferable skills will allow me to succeed in becoming Uniting's next group respite and flexible support coordinator. I have strong skills and passion for social inclusion and advocating. I have incorporated these skills when designing programs for people with different levels of abilities by offering alternatives and modifications so that they are still able to participate and take something away from the program. I work in away that empowers people so that they are confident in there abilities to do things such as advocate for themselves and develop life skills.
