Mechanical Plumber
1 Year 7 Months- I began with OP Industries after completing my apprenticeship in mechanical services. I workered with in small team on large commercial sites delivering commercial and industrial mechanical services across major construction projects throughout Tasmania. Experienced in the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC systems, including mechanical pipework, heating and cooling services, pumps, valves, and associated plant equipment. Skilled at interpreting plans and specifications, coordinating with multiple trades, and working safely in demanding construction environments. I have contributed to significant projects including the University of Tasmania Forest Building redevelopment and the IMAS facility in Taroona, consistently delivering high-quality workmanship and meeting project deadlines.

- This job entailed me completing a 4-year apprenticeship in mechanical services. I worked in team scenarios on large commercial installs as well as on small jobs, with a variety of experience in water and refrigeration and duct installation. With in this job I have had to solve arising problems/ clashes with installs and have built my knowledge to help me navigate these situations. I have also been tasked with running my own smaller job during this time.
Machine Operator Supervisor
4 Years- Houston’s Farm employed me to operate machines for the packaging of lettuce. This job title required me to complete shift work, to turn on and start up the machines, select programs to run on the machines, changing over of fittings on the machine to suit the product being packaged. I also work as a stand-in team leader which I have done on many occasions, as the team leader I am in charge of organizing the staff, replacing anyone who may have called up sick or not shown up, to order and communicate and increases received throughout the day. It also involves work with the supervisors on what staff would be best suited to work on certain days, as well as training new staff members in the procedures around food safety and machine operations. In 2020 i applied for and was successful acquiring the warehousing manager role. With in the year i was in this role i negotiated nationwide contracts with suppliers and managed warehousing and stock as well as deliveries to the 4 sites around Australia.
Machine Operator
1 Year- Vmac employed me at Houston’s Farm where I was trained as a machine operator for the packaging of lettuce. This job title required me to work shift work, turn on and start up the machines, work closing with other teams in the factory to meet production quotas, select programs to run on the machines, changing over of fittings on the machine to suit the product being packaged.

- This job required me to be in charge of younger staff, to train and lead them to be able to achieve the goals set. It also required me to use my own initiative to find the best possible way to complete tasks. I also worked as the storeman. Receiving deliveries of small goods and containers needing to be unloaded off a truck.
2 Years
- This position required me to care for the grounds and plant displays by undertaking a number of tasks, such as small and large pruning tasks, weeding, watering, plant identification, insect and pest control. maintenance of irrigation systems, hygiene control, hedge trimming, operation of machinery such as blower vacs, hedge trimmers, brush-cutters etc. Removal and replacement of plants, working in a team environment as well as individually, it also involved preparing garden beds and planting out annual flower displays. I was also involved with the botanist checking the grounds for signs of myrtle rust on host plants.

- This job included working in a team as well as an individual to be able to complete jobs to a high standard, as well as problem solving and dealing with customer issues and finding a solution that pleases the customer.
