I recently worked as a Team Leader within The Orange Door, Inner Gippsland Area, which is a family violence service for women, children and men. I was previously a specialist practitioner within the Men’s Perpetrator Services of The Orange Door. I encouraged and supported men to alter their behaviour, which involves a lot of listening, persuasion, facilitation and referral to support services. I am also an ex-police professional of over 23 years, resigning from Victoria Police in 2017. My last 15 years within policing were spent performing various Sergeant and Acting Senior Sergeant duties in charge of numerous police stations and units. I have been with my wife, Andrea, for 34 years and we have one beautiful child together.
