Work History

Eletrical Box Cleaner

UMVS
Cleveland, QLD
11.2024 - Current
  • I have gained valuable work experience with Utility Meter Verification Services (UMVS) during the past few school holidays, providing me with an early introduction to the workforce. My role at UMVS has evolved over time, starting with clearing meters, then progressing to unpacking and preparing them for programming. I am now responsible for programming the meters, demonstrating my ability to learn quickly and take on increasing levels of responsibility within the company.

Packager

Family Property in Vanuatu
01.2023 - Current
  • My previous work has been non-paid work as I have mainly been working for my stepfather, who trades heavy equipment.
  • Recently as my family has purchased a property in Vanuatu, I have been packing containers full of different things from machinery to household appliances to building material.
  • I have packed 4 containers in the past 8 months, working 12 hours plus days during weekends and pushing myself to the limit trying to get everything done.
  • This has helped me understand work life and that I can do long days if needed.

Volunteer

work expirience
01.2020 - Current

Most school holidays I volunteer doing many different jobs.

Victoria farm work

  • I have spent time in Victoria working on the farms of family and friends. During my time there, I was involved in a variety of tasks including scouring paddocks using quad bikes and a Polaris side-by-side vehicle. My responsibilities also included digging and drainage work, cutting and stacking firewood, feeding, and watering animals, as well as maintaining the property by mowing lawns with a ride-on mower and using a whipper snipper for trimming.

New Zealand farm work

  • I have also spent time in New Zealand, where I worked on a dairy farm for four weeks during November 2023. While there, I helped with a variety of tasks and gained valuable skills such as learning quickly and adapting to new work environments. Some of the main jobs that contributed to this learning included milking, assisting with calving, and carrying out the daily tasks necessary to keep the farm operating smoothly.

The Library Project Vanuatu

  • I have been to Vanuatu many times, including twice as part of a group called The Library Project Vanuatu, a small non-profit organisation dedicated to establishing libraries in remote schools across the country. On my first trip with the project, I spent two weeks on the southeast part of the island of Malekula with three teachers and nine students. We stayed at the local school, sleeping in classrooms and cooking in a hut built especially for us. During this time, we successfully built three libraries in three different schools. My second trip was a bit different, as we stayed on the main island of Efate and focused on building one library at a school located in the middle of the island. This allowed us to spend more time connecting with the students through learning and play.

Patrol Leader and Unit Leader

Cleveland Scout Troop

  • My responsibilities were to supervise, train and mentor new scouts.
  • Plan activities for the term.
  • Plan, manage and participate in camps and hikes.
  • During my time in Scouts, I attended the Australian Jamboree in South Australia in 2019 – 10 days under canvas camp, and I attended the one at the start of 2025 as a helper, working on different activities. fixing problems and ensure the safety of scouts
  • As a venture, I have held many roles that have helped me build leadership, multi-tasking, and many more skills that have contributed to my development.
