- Job responsibility: Reporting to the line manager, as a fabric specialist my job duties are to work closely with design, commerical and print team which is over 40 people in Sydney and as well as fabric and sourcing team in both Hong Kong and Bangladesh offices. My jobs involved fabric trend research at the beginning of the season and to create a fabric slide pack presenting to design team. After the fabric trend presentation, I will have workshops with design teams to understand what shapes and fabrics they have planned for the season and then my job is to provide fabric directions to our BWA fabric team so that they can source the suitable fabrics from our key vendors. Throughout the season, I will have weekly fabric meetings with design teams and to support on any new fabric sourcing or developments and to trouble shooting and problem solving on any fabric issues with our BWA fabric and sourcing teams. I also need to maintain and update the fabric and trim library, miro board and development spreadsheets. And I also requires to create fabrics, trims or colours code in the PLMS system.
