• The major constraints include Lack of customer awareness on Sustainability and short-term profit thinking compared to traditional buildings and High upfront costs (most hyped myth).
• Enablers include the promotion of green buildings by government through various schemes (Govt. Of Victoria has introduced a new scheme called as Greenstar to promote sustainable development followed by other states in Australia).
• Sustainable Development can improve indoor health and improve acoustics and poor ventilation and gain productivity in energy consumption. Financial support from governments and clients can offset high upfront costs.
• An analysis of green buildings in Australia was conducted using findings from NABERS, Green Star, and LEEDS from project start to completion.
