  • This job was undertaken alongside my undergraduate degree in diagnostic radiography so shift frequency was dependent on university demands.
  • Initially hired to assist in Intensive care due to a high volume of ventilated patients with COVID-19. In this role, I assisted in proning patients and worked closely with the nurses helping with patient hygiene, and keeping their stock maintained bedside.
  • I then went to work on a range of wards including cardiac, care of the elderly and oncology. My responsibilities at this time included: maintaining patient hygiene whilst preserving their dignity, serving meals and assisting with feeding, monitoring patients' condition by taking regular observations, and cleaning and preparing bed spaces. As well as keeping patients comfortable, and working closely with nurses to assist them.
