Rotations:

• Psychiatry - independent outpatient clinics for patients with established psychiatric conditions, undertake thorough psychiatric assessments, and manage acute inpatient presentations during on-call duties
• General Practice - independent clinics in a deprived area, managing a diverse range of acute and chronic conditions with holistic, patient centered care
• Gastroenterology - inpatient care for gastroenterology patients, managing acute presentations including liver disease, gastrointestinal bleeding and inflammatory bowel disease. SHO on call ward responsibilities including clerking in ED.

Rotations:

• Trauma + Orthopaedics - Engaged in surgical theatres, clerking acute orthopaedic cases ranging from Cauda Equina Syndrome to NOF fractures, and independently conducting orthogeriatric ward rounds.
• Respiratory Medicine - Delivered inpatient care for complex respiratory presentations, including acute COPD and asthma exacerbations, pulmonary embolisms, and patients requiring NIV and chest drain support.
• General Surgery - On call responsibilities for over 80 surgical inpatients, swiftly assessing and addressing acute emergencies including biliary sepsis, cholecystitis, cholangitis, pancreatitis, and bowel obstructions, while coordinating investigations, interventions, and multidisciplinary care to enhance patient outcomes.

Provided high-quality personal care and support to patients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and wellbeing while assisting nursing or medical staff in delivering care.

Supported children with special educational needs through tailored play-based activities that promoted development, inclusion, and emotional wellbeing.

Provided emotional and practical support to hospice patients and their families in a compassionate and empathetic manner, during end of life care.
