Work History

PROJECT MANAGER FOR THE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

University Of Newcastle
03.2023 - 02.2024

Throughout a one-year contract I successfully managed multiple projects simultaneously by prioritizing tasks according to urgency, resource availability, and alignment with organizational goals

Most notably I managed all communications between TAFE NSW and the University of Newcastle regarding an exciting new Aerospace Engineering Project

I assisted the participating bodies in the purchase of a Zenith 750 STOL aircraft kit and all tooling required to complete the build

A University of Newcastle student team and TAFE NSW team then worked together to complete the mechanical assembly and avionics installations on the aircraft.

The project is a raging success. The University of Newcastle and TAFE NSW will continue to collaborate and purchase other plane kits. Furthermore, the University of Newcastle have expanded their student involvement capacity from 12 individuals to the entire cohort (Approximately 60 students)

Throughout the entire experience:

  • I fostered a culture of innovation and creativity within the project team, leading to improved problem-solving capabilities and enhanced outcomes
  • Coordinated cross-functional teams and resolved conflicts, maintaining a positive work environment throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepared and submitted project invoices for review and approval
  • Finalised all documentation for the Annexure
  • Scheduled and facilitated meetings between project stakeholders to discuss deliverables, schedules and conflicts.
