As a process worker at SFF, my mains roles included trimming and packaging meat.

- I was required to know how to keep my knives sharp using a steel and setter to be able to trim as efficiently as possible

-Trimmed meat off of bones as well as obtaining different cuts of meat from different parts of a carcass

- Packed meat according to the order sheet for the day. This included having to sometimes vacuum seal the meat, grading, dating and labelling, as well as checking the meat for defects

- Other small jobs included stock take, operating and cleaning machinery, doing pre op before the start of each work day, scanning and printing orders/labels and sometimes assisting with new staff

As a QA/QC at Watties, I mostly tested food products.

• I performed detailed inspections and tests, which included taste testings, visual analysis, and testing for product firmness, thickness and texture using lab apparatus
• Data entry and record keeping were a main part of the job
• I was to determine corrective solutions if products/packaging did not meet requirements
• Used RT's to communicate from the lab to the factory supervisors

Customer service was my main role as admin

• Greeted visitors to the gym and directed new visitors to coaches. I also handled our call service, however most people would contact our Facebook page which the coaches would manage
• Sold merchandise, equipment and memberships
• Did data entry, and also used Microsoft Word and Excel to create membership contracts
• Handled mail and packages
• Helped with any events that were held by the gym

• Washed and sanitised dishes using industrial dishwashers
• Maintained order and cleanliness of the kitchen, conforming to food safety standards
• Checked and recorded refrigerator and freezer temperatures
• Monitored stock of food and supplies
• Prepared food before service. I was even taught to gut fish
• Plated all desserts and cheeseboards
• I had the responsibility of closing down the kitchen at the end of service
