I aspire to instil a lifelong passion for learning in my students through the acquisition of 21st-century educational skills. I believe in student-centred learning where my role as an educator will be to guide and support students to take ownership of their learning. To provide this, I value the importance of a positive learning environment where students feel safe, supported and included. My ability to nurture strong relationships with students, staff and families will enable an inclusive learning community where everybody will feel a sense of belonging. I intend to cater for the diverse needs of my students through a range of differentiated teaching strategies. My teaching beliefs are based upon an inquiry approach that encourages students to question and explore. I hope to create successful and confident learners, equipped with knowledge and skills to make positive contributions to their wider society.
