  • In my role as Key Account Manager, I managed a portfolio of high-value enterprise clients, building strong relationships with HR Directors, Legal Counsels, and senior decision-makers. I deliver tailored compliance solutions through consultative and solution-based selling, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to maximise client value. My focus was on ensuring client satisfaction, driving renewals, and supporting complex implementations that aligned with organisational compliance strategies.

Commercial Account Manager

  • Company Overview: The Access Group provides business management software to over 47,000 business partners across the UK and Asian-Pacific region.
  • Within the People and Learning Division I managed clients with the Access Accelerate product and Access Career Development (Abintegro) product. Managing an account book of circa 100 accounts my role is to maintain the commercial relationship and continued partnership with these accounts to ensure growth and customer retention. Regular on-site visits are part of the role, meeting with heads of departments and senior leadership to review software capability, usage and promote new software developments to enhance the client's current software package.
  • Targeted on account revenue growth and achieving this by selling upgrades to the client's current package, enhanced Customer Support packages and cross sell of the wider range of The Access Groups software portfolio including payroll, HR and recruitment software. A consultative sales approach is taken to understand the client's current business concerns/needs and present a solution.
  • The Access Group provides regular sales training with their in-house team of trainers and all Access Group employees within sales and account management must complete regular sales academies and pass the annual Summit training program.
  • I’m responsible for an account book valued at £2.5m with a revenue growth target of £250,000 per annum for the 24/25 financial year.

  • Company Overview: Milima Networks is an affiliate marketing business.
  • Within the business I managed partnerships with all data contributors, agreeing revenue expectations and revenue shares for these partners. I also managed all affiliate accounts dealing with their account managers negotiating commissions and percentage shares on new revenue, repeat revenue, review performance and contract renewals. Internally I worked with the in-house team at Milima on copywriting, compliance and delivery of marketing material.
  • My main roles within the business were to ensure all data contributors delivered agreed amounts of data each month and facilitating increases in volume. Report monthly sales and performance to data contributors. Negotiating all contractual agreements with affiliate networks including revenue share, pay-outs and promotions. Working with external account managers in relation to design resource and promotional material for the in-house team to create campaigns and other media that can be applied to advertising.
  • The larger data contributor accounts I managed generated c£250,000 per annum in total revenues and the smaller accounts were c£20,000 – c£100,000 per annum.
  • The business ran marketing campaigns in the UK, USA, New Zealand and Australia.

As a Key Account Manager within the drinks industry, I was responsible for overseeing over 100 large night time industry venues in the north of England. Ensuring Global Brands products had a presence in these venues and securing contracts with these venues to exclusively stock Global Brands products and not rival brands. The role involved working with existing clients to up-sell products and stock new products from Global Brands, researching and contacting new opportunities and stockists, agreeing, and executing contracts with venues and ensuring client satisfaction with Global Brands and its products. At my time at Global brands I achieved over 20% growth in my book of accounts. The role was field based with one day a month in their Chesterfield head office.

  • As regional Account Manager for start up business iDontQ I was tasked with introducing and implementing a new ordering system (SaaS) into any venue involved with customers ordering food or beverages in store. The software allowed customers to pre-order or order at their table, pay for goods and receive to their location within the venue via an app. The software was free for the venue to use and revenue was generated via a commission of any sale taken through the iDontQ system. I had success implementing the iDontQ software into a number of the largest independent venues in Leeds.

  • Working for one of Leeds largest independent landlords my main role within the business was looking after their portfolio of professional lets. Pickard Properties had around 100 professional lets based around West Yorkshire and my day-to-day activities included viewings for potential tenants, agreeing rents and completing all related tenancy agreement paperwork, end of tenancy check out procedures and liaising with the maintenance team to solve any issues within the properties. I was also heavily involved with the annual student tenancy drive to ensure all the student dwellings Pickard Properties owned achieved full rental status for the coming year.
