  • Safety first focus championing promotion of health and safety across the fulfillment centre, working with the WHS team to plan, implement and execute safety outcomes according to safety KPIs.
  • Trained and developed 8 new line managers, leading a team of 300+ staff to deliver industry best customer fulfilment.
  • Labour resource planning across five functions running 24/7 to achieve on average 60,000 weekly customer orders while forward planning to meet dynamic sales through differing promotional activities.

State Inventory Manager

MAIN DUTIES

  • Managing and facilitating every SKUs movements throughout the DC. This included set up of products within the WMS, zone allocation, pick faces based on sales forecasting and pick optimisation.
  • Managing all cycle counting processes and teams.
  • Minimising all stock loss through analysis and investigation of theft, inefficient warehouse practices and other issues such as damages.
  • Staff management and mentoring – managing 8 full time inventory specialists across 3 different shifts (24 hours of inventory operations).
  • Fundamental in building and implementing standard operating procedures in all aspects of the warehouse operation.
  • Interstate fulfillment of stock from the Sydney distribution centre to other Pet Circle fulfillment centres around Australia – through linehaul and container packing.
  • Managing international incoming containers through Pet Circle’s third party freight forwarders.


KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Reducing cycle counting from 16 weeks to 10 weeks through better planning and KPIs.
  • Initiated, planned and executed roll out of 12,000 infrastructure labels, systems and process for new RF scanning – scan to pick process.
  • Reduced missing items $ amount within the Sydney warehouse from $220,000 across 11,000 SKUs in July 2020 to a week on week average of $25,000 – avg number of SKUs missing from 1100 down to 300 (8% of SKUs down to 2% of SKUs).
  • Managed major growth project from planning and procuring racking specialists to fit out, and facilitate increase in SKU count by 3000 SKUs or 30%.
  • Managed stock rotation and the expiry process of high volume SKUs – minimizing expired written off product by 60%.

  • Manage all outbound and inbound operations and inbound functions from picking, dispatch and logistics receipt of goods, putaway and replenishment
  • Managed inbound international container scheduling, unloading and storage functions.
  • Managing up to 150 staff throughout all warehouse functions on the AM shift, inbound and outbound. This included managing and developing 5 supervisors to lead the shift
  • Managing labour costs to budget across multiple functions while meeting dynamic daily customer demand through aggregate demand planning practices.
  • Managing external vendor relationships and contracts from SLAs and pricing of manual handling equipment, chep and loscam accounts and rubbish and recycling expectations.
  • Working with staff promoting cross functional collaboration, building redundancy for any changes in customer demand or unplanned staffing issues.


KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Using analytics to build forecasting techniques to enable forward dated replenishment of items to proactively fulfill dynamic customer demand.
  • Built an entire AM team in both outbound and inbound functions due to a warehouse relocation. This meant training new hires, procuring short term labour hire, writing and implementing standard operator procedures and managing staff up to and beyond KPIs within 4 weeks of moving.
  • Pivotal role in moving warehouses from a 6,000sqm warehouse to 21,000sqm.
  • Changing pallet vendors to a 3rd party pallet company and saving Pet Circle in yearly direct costs.
